The Resort Le Cale D'Otranto is located in Torre Santo Stefano Otranto, 44 km away from Lecce in the beautiful Salento, OVERLOOKING a beautiful bay of crystal clear waters, palm and cypress trees touching the sky, in a land rich in history and culture. A second cove called "La Cricca" (Rada of Caréula), reserved, almost intimate, formed by small coves and a cave, a natural swimming pool where the beauty of this corner of Puglia reaches its apotheosis. Easily accessible by car (A14 to Bari and Lecce and Otranto SS16), FS train to the station of Lecce then FSE Ferrovie Sud Est to Otranto, plane Brindisi-Casale Airport. Its exclusive position makes it unique: the lush local vegetation, mostly made up of old olive trees in all their glory, pine forests, scrubland and water really clear where the Adriatic meets the Ionian Sea. The near Capo d'Otranto is in fact the most eastern point of Italy and according to the conventions nautical is the separation point of the two seas. Within the grounds are the remains of the "Torre Santo Stefano," which gave the name to the place. The Resort has a close link with the territory, built entirely of "Lecce stone" from the brilliant mind of Gae Aulenti. The stone is used in many local buildings, including buildings of valuable historical interest. With the same stone are in fact built the 424 Mediterranean-style rooms on the ground floor or the first floor. The same are surrounded by the relaxing park. They are located in 2 separate "neighborhoods" overlooking the bay and on the main square of the Resort. Resort is for adults and over 12 y.o. only.
