The Fontanafredda Village occupies an area of over 122 hectares, with vineyards located in the first ever vinicultural landscape to become UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Langhe. In 2017 it became Storytelling Village, where every viewpoint is presented and described, and offers a wide range of opportunities: from visiting the Historical Cellars, considered to be among the most beautiful in the world, to a walk through the Woods of Thoughts, where you can lose yourself in nature; from a relaxing weekend at the Scattered Hotel “Le Case dei Conti Mirafi ore”, to the Osteria Disguido, the Taverna del Re or our Michelin starred Guido Ristorante, inside the Royal Villa. Visiting Fontanafredda takes you on a journey through history which began way back in 1858 between King Vittorio Emanuele II and “la Bela Rosina”. The village is also home to the Fondazione E. di Mirafi ore, a big, bright open space, which organises weekly events for both adults and children. Lastly, guests can organise meetings and congresses at the Congress Centre, concluding with dinner at the Garden del Lago.
Fontanafredda, the historic winery of Serralunga d'Alba (CN), was officially awarded the title of "European Winery of the Year" during the Wine Star Awards, a sort of "worldwide wine Oscars" promoted by the distinguished American magazine Wine Enthusiast and awarded to the finer international products of this industry, to honour the companies and individuals of the wine world that have had a major impact in the industry, distinguishing themselves for their innovative vision and the significant achievements they have achieved.
