If you wish to realise an event in a very original venue, and for true lovers of the field, the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, with its large spaces, is the perfect place to host your guests and give them the opportunity of a journey in time between locomotives, trains and carriages that connected Italy since 1839.
The complex is nestled in one of the most important industrial archeological sites of Italy: the Royal Workshops for Mechanical Works, Ammunition Production and Locomotives, founded by Ferdinand II of Bourbon in 1840. It expands on a 36,000 m² area, 14,000 of which are covered. Nowadays it is one of the largest Events and Congress Centre of Southern Italy, able to host up to 2500 people.
There are numerous rooms and halls. The largest Pavilion of the Steam Locomotives offers the possibility of creating different kind of setting up, in a 5,000 m² space.
The Workshop Tools room is a second space available, which is characterised by the workshop tools exposition, with machines that were used in the factory during the 20th century. This room has a 400 people capacity and can be used for a business lunch or dinner. In the same Pavilion there is also the “Cinquecento” Hall, equipped with a stage, a screen and velevet armchairs, which can host up to 400 people.
There is also a Convention Area, that offers everything you need for the organization of meetings, congresses, and conventions, up to 130 people.
The venue on the sea also offers a lot of outdoor options, like our beautiful terraces where you can organize a welcome apertif, or a light lunch. There is a very characteristic Amphitheatre, and the area around the historic Platform Roof, originally situated in the station of Fiorenzuola D’Arda, in Emilia-Romagna region, both having a breathtaking view on the Gulf of Naples.
The architectural and environmental characteristics make Pietrarsa a unique place, with its rolling stocks that donate to the venue a wonderful scenery. Choosing the Museum as the venue for your event gives the opportunity of recall a significant chapter of the italian history, enjoying a very unique scenery.
