Profile
Since July 2017 Istituto Luce-Cinecittà is in charge of managing the legendary Cinecittà Studios and postproduction labs, founded 80 years ago (1937), property for 20 years of a private company. Following the acquisition of Cinecittà Studios, Istituto Luce-Cinecittà takes over responsibility for the management of theatres located in Via Tuscolana, with the production design creations, the executive production, and a variety of fundamental services for the realization of feature films, TV movies, TV series, and the development of new media. The new project incorporates the activities of Cinecittà Digital Factory, the Studios’ digital centre: from post-production to restoration (a lab for analogic production will be reinstated, too) to the conservation of works produced by third parties. Moreover, Luce-Cinecittà takes over the activities of Cinecittà District Entertainment as well: exhibitions, events, touristic reception, and a broad service of production and circulation of merchandising, press and audio-visual materials, all branded Cinecittà.I
Cinecittà Events is highly regarded in the public relation sector, thanks to its valuable creative and technologically advanced locations, partly owned by the Studios and partly leased. The facility is typically characterized by the cinematic quality of “creating dreams”, and is able to host and manage events of any kind, scope and budget.
The exclusive venues of Cinecittà’s movie sets come to life for its clients’ custom-tailored events, with moderate pricing thanks to the flexibility of its structures, and the options of unique staging, professional equipment, special setups and themed décor. The articulated area winds through the legendary sound stages and captivating sets, ultimately arriving at Cinecittà Shows Off, the Studios’ permanent exhibition, offering first class cultural entertainment.
In 2000, Cinecittà started hosting events in its sound stages and open areas. Its almost 100-acre territory, containing sound stages, several tensile structures, a seven-thousand square meter pool, and fabled permanent sets make the ideal location for conventions, gala dinners, professional meetings and other special events infused with the magical atmosphere of the silver screen.
Cinecittà’s mission is aided by the groundbreaking concept of extreme modularity, featuring highly flexible and adaptable structures, which can be composed to meet any need.
Cinecittà offers such excellent and fully integrated services as scenic decor, audio-visual services, lighting equipment, and catering. Virtually any kind of event can be organized, with areas currently dedicated to corporate events that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. From parking to tours to customized access to special areas, everything can be adapted to suit the client’s needs.
Through exclusive visits to the exhibition and permanent sets, visitors are immersed in the history of Cinecittà, free to admire movie scenes, costumes, sets and characters, interactively experience the various stages of filmmaking, and discover fun facts and anecdotes about the life of the Dream Factory.
Cinecittà Studios’ sound stages, where film and TV productions take place, are the very same studios where private events may be organized.
The sound stages can host up to 2,000 people, with square footage ranging from 450 to 1,500 square meters, as well as the 3,000 square-meter Teatro 5, Fellini’s “temple” which is still the largest sound stage in Europe.
All areas are capable of hosting conventions, gala dinners and themed special events, catered to the clients’ particular specifications.
Few people have had the privilege of enjoying dinner, dancing and celebrating on a movie set: Cinecittà offers this incredible opportunity to the companies who wish to organize a special event against the backdrop of unique scenery created by some of the most gifted international set designers.
