Palazzo dello Sport - Rome is a great example of Italian rationalist architecture, designed by the architect and engineer Pierluigi Nervi in 1958 and built for the 1960 Olympics. The Palazzo is counted among the masterpieces of 20th century Italian architecture and any type of intervention carried out on the building throughout history has been aimed at keeping its structure unaltered, in compliance with its architectural values. Returned to the city in 2003, after an important renovation work - entirely supported by the Forumnet Group and with the aim of combining beauty and functionality, enhancing an exceptional architectural and natural context -, the Palazzo dello Sport - Rome is today the largest structure for events available in the capital, a prestigious and elegant place which, thanks to its enhanced modularity characteristics, is able to host from congresses for 500 guests to large events with over 11,000 participants. The renovation works have improved the acoustics, expanded the external surface up to 20,000 m2 and equipped a splendid terrace surrounded by greenery.
